Treasure chest

It was the first time I got the chance to talk about a best practice from the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. When returning from the UK, I had so much good examples in my backpack and could not wait spreading them at work. Strangely enough, it did not work that way. For some reason I kept my backpack closed and waited for the right moment to open it. And this week it happened. It felt like opening my treasure chest and showing somebody my treasures. I realized this is probably how it works best, keeping the good examples close and only showing them to people who are really interested. So I can make sure these best practices are really listened to and hopefully used as well. And you know what I also realized? I am the only one who has the key and can open my treasure chest any time I like to. What a privilege!

(For the BCH: I passionately talked about the Ambassador for Cultural Change and hope we will introduce this role in the Spaarne Gasthuis as well).
