This morning I had to wake up early, because we attended the Operational Leadership Team Meeting. Some issues were discussed, such as a pilot study on pre-operative assessment. I hope I understood everything, but I think it was about reducing the cancellations of operations, due to various reasons.
The problems with car parking were also discussed and the strike of the Network rail, i.e. the signallers and maintenance staff. These strikes will, of course, have a huge impact on the care of patients and the delivery of services. In fact, I think it will affect myself as well, because I have to go to London on Wednesday… by train!!!
